History Workbook Answers Pg73
(c) Study Sources B and C . In what ways are the beliefs of the Hindu and Buddhist religions similar? (4 marks)
Both sources mention reincarnation and karma. Source B says that Hindus believe that their deeds have consequences. They affect a person’s misery or happiness in their present and future lives. Similarly, Source C says that the idea of rebirth and the consequences of a person’s actions in his next life are important beliefs. The cycle of rebirth is broken when one reaches nirvana.
